On day 8 at MHFA, I worked on a task relating to the MHFA's Journey video which needed fixings and changes. Finn had given me tasks to do which requires me to replace footages, add in graphics, add new clips, as well as fixing the audio for some segments.

Following Finn's instructions, I began working on the video and making the changes that needs to be done. Most of the tasks are just updating old content with new ones in order to make the video up to date.

Some of it were replacing footage with new ones that we recorded 2 weeks ago of the CEO and the Vice Chairperson of MHFA. Added new clips of the Gala event highlights, and making a short animation to direct viewers on how to access MHFA's support groups.
After I finished with all the tasks of making changes for the Journey video, I sent it to Finn for review and it was all good to go.
For the Small Business mental health video project that I'm working on with Kaz, we have to start planning and go around asking small business around the area if we could create some content with them.

The idea I had for this promo video is that we will have short clips of the business owners working in their shop, voiceovers, and some interview format clips within the video. Therefore, we will have to plan out what shots we want as well as the short interview questions for voiceover content. I made a small plan on what to do and discussed with my teammate Kaz so she could get an idea of what we will do. We discussed on which locations to go to and brainstormed some questions relating to their wellbeing and mental health since we are making a video promoting mental health in small businesses.

We went out to the locations and introduced ourselves and told them about our project and what we wanted to do in order to get their permissions. The first location we went to was R.O.R. Cafe and the owner politely refused to do the shoot since he needed to go for an emergency.
The next location we went to is Fuumi Fuumi bakery. The owner was not there so we talked to one of the employee to see if we could do a short interview and film some content for our project. Som, who we met, nicely accepted and agreed to shoot with us. So, Kaz and I setup the shot and I started interviewing him while Kaz filmed. We did our interview and thanked Som for agreeing to do this with us and he was polite and nice about it.
We got some footage of the bakery and the employees working, which will be used for the b-roll shots in our video project.
After doing our shoot at Fuumi bakery, we went to a shot which is another small Japanese teashop called itteki. Unfortunately, the owner was busy so we could not shoot content with her so we moved onto the last location which is Kebabsta. Nash, the owner was there and he agreed to do it but he wanted to do next week and we agreed on it.
I felt that we did not get the content we wanted but it was a good start to the project and getting content from the bakery helped us figure out how to make it better the next time we go out, in terms of footage quality, interview setup shots, etc...
