On my second week at MHFA, I started working on a new task that requires me to re-record and re-edit some sequences of an existing video which is the MHFA's Journey video. As it is the new year and some contents are outdated, they need to make some changes to fit with the current times. For this task, I'm working with one of the team member, Finn, who had tasked me at re-editing the "Thank You" roller for the video.
They need to make it more interesting and engaging with photos coming in instead of just the credits rolling. As well as the sections where they have their sponsors, it needed to be updated with new sponsors so I also needed to add in the new graphics and make it come up with the banner.
Finn provided me with the raw files and the Premiere Pro project file, so it made it easier to see what they had done previously and just update it through the project file itself. I first went through the media files and looked for photographs to incorporate into the credits. I picked photos of the organisation including group photos, board members, representatives, ambassadors, etc...
After that, I placed them along with the credits rolling and make it so that they pop up and fade out one by one after another. After having done that, I was told that it looked too messy and not balanced or smooth as the photos show up in different places and makes it confusing to follow along. Therefore, I made it so that the photos fade in one by one in the same size and location on one side of the screen, while the credits roll on the other side of the screen. This made it more better as viewers can follow along without having to look different directions for the photos.
With that finished, I moved onto fixing the sponsors section which is to just remove some and add new sponsors into the video. After that, I had to add an ending animated graphic that was provided to finish off the video.
