On my second day of internship at the MHFA, I was given my first set of tasks to complete relating to my role. My supervisor Nithya gave me tasks to re-edit YouTube videos of their seminars to make them shorter and cut out unnecessary scenes. I've never used the YouTube built-in editor before, so this was a new experience for me. The task was fairly easy as all I needed to do was go back to the YouTube seminar videos and use the editor tool to trim out the Q&A section which is at the end. I think that the YouTube editor tool is handy when it comes to last minute changes like this such as trims and cuts, but it is not effective to edit videos in here.

Throughout the day, I was given more seminar videos to edit and clean up the recording to make it ready for YouTube. Nithya specified that the videos should only include the introduction, presentation content, and goodbye. Therefore, I needed to cut out bits and pieces where the presenters are setting up, as well as QnA sessions at the end. I also needed to include the MHFA logo animation for the outro of the video.

Other than that, I was also tasked to create YouTube thumbnails for the webinar videos. Using Canva, they provided me with examples and templates I can follow to create the thumbnails for the webinar videos. I look through the examples and created the thumbnails using the information of the presenter that was provided, photos, and description of the video itself. I've utilised Canva pro tools to add graphics or icons that relate to the topic of the video. For example, for the webinar that talks about mental health in multicultural children, I've added an appropriate graphic to the thumbnail design.
