On Day 4 at Future Play Lab, I start to finalise on the Instagram reel video project that I was tasked to do. Since Troy had shown me a schedule of their social media content posts, this week is supposed to be the last week to finish the video to get it ready for distribution. The Play Capitol Arcade trailer should inform and get people excited for the main event.

Last week, I had went out to the locations and got the required shots that Troy briefed me on. I went after 6pm which was the ideal time of what Troy wanted the shots to be in. Using my phone, I captured the footage in vertical mode since the video is in the resolution of an Instagram reel which is 1080x1920. Following the shot list that was provided to me, I got the footage that they wanted, as well as some extra footage outside of the list in order to have some backup shots and extra scenes to work with in case when I need to improvise.

Rosie, my teammate, had also finished with the Play Capitol Arcade logo that she was tasked to do, so I incorporate it into the video in the beginning along with Angie's animation. The finished logo will be animated to move slightly to make it more dynamic and engaging. Troy gave feedback on the title cards for the games when each of them show up on screen. He mentioned that he wanted the title cards to mimic the same style and typography of the logo. With that, I worked with Rosie to create title cards for each of the games considering colours of the game, typography and font, as well as the different shapes that matches with the style of the games. She incorporated her style and visualisation into the title cards graphics and did a great job with them.

With the ending frame, Troy mentioned that I should remove the logos for now since they haven't confirmed or got permission yet, so I had to remove the logos of the organisations and supporters. He also preferred if the background is white for the ending shot, but I showed him what it looks like with a white background or a blurry background, and he seem to like the blurry one, so I went with that for the final version of the video.

Through many iterations and changes, we finally came to the final version of the reel and Troy was happy with the results that we produced. Although it was mostly archived footage of the games, it will still hopefully engage with people who view it and make them excited for the date of the event.
