In my second week at Future Play Lab, I continued working on the 90-second Instagram reel that was tasked to me at the beginning of my internship. I have gone through music that is relevant to achieve the goal of the video and I have discussed with Troy to pick a music in order to incorporate it into the video. I've looked through Epidemic Sound, Bensound, and YouTube music library to listen to the different kinds of music related to the themes of play. After that, I showed Troy what I thought can be good for the video
After careful consideration and discussion, Troy showed me examples of what he wanted and the feel of game, playfulness, and electronic. We ended up decided on an electronic playful song that Troy found on Adobe Stock music.
I used the music as a placeholder for the structure of my video. I then started to look through the footage that was provided to me and chose a few clips for each of the 5 arcade games that will be promoted to Future Play Lab.
In the editing process, I carefully considered the length of the clips, what to show and what not to show, all while staying true to the brief that was provided by Troy. I need to showcase an intro with the Play Capitol Arcade logo which will be provided by Rosie and Angie, location shots of where the games will take place, and mini-promos of each of the 5 games.

I began editing the footage that I've selected of the 5 games and splitting them into timeframes. I allowed about 15 seconds of time slot for each of the game to make it easier for me to edit accordingly as well as having showcase each of the games equally in the video. The music helped set the pace of the video and I've edited the footage in a way that corresponds to the music/beat in order to catch the audience's attention and keep them moving along with the video.
The effects I've incorporated are mostly video transition effects such as cross zooms, whips, slides, and fades. I've done all of the transitions in a quick manner to match with the pace of the video and to keep the audience hooked.

With Rosie's drafted logo of the Capitol Arcade, I've incorporated it in the beginning of the video as a placeholder to see what it would look like. The texts in the video which are the names of the games are set to the font Highway Gothic which is one of the fonts of Future Play Lab brand. There is a sequence of which I need to show the locations where the games will take place. I haven't went out to film those locations yet so I have just placed a text to remind me where the video will be on the timeline.
After the day is over, I've come up with the first draft of the video with the mini-promos of each games included, an intro and outro sequence. I then posted it to the Teams channel to share it with the team to receive feedback.
